Building Games That Connect Players

We started ByteOnRipple because we noticed something missing in mobile gaming – genuine connection and stories that actually matter to players in Southeast Asia.

How We Actually Started

Back in 2020, our founder Siriporn was working at a large gaming company, watching amazing games fail in Thailand because they felt foreign. The cultural references didn't land. The humor fell flat. Even the way characters interacted felt off.

So she gathered a small team of local developers and artists who understood what Thai players actually wanted. Not just translated games, but experiences built from the ground up for our market.

Today, we're twelve people strong, working from our Chiang Mai studio. We've released four games that have found real audiences, and we're constantly learning what makes mobile gaming work in this region.

How We Actually Build Games

Every project follows our tested approach – we've learned these steps matter more than any fancy technology or trending game mechanics.

1

Player Research

We spend weeks understanding what local players actually enjoy, not what industry reports say they should like. Real conversations with real gamers.

2

Rapid Prototyping

Ideas stay ideas until players can touch them. We build playable prototypes fast, test them with small groups, then iterate based on honest feedback.

3

Technical Excellence

Games need to work smoothly on older Android devices with limited data connections. We optimize for real-world conditions, not perfect testing environments.

Where We're Headed Next

The mobile gaming market in Southeast Asia is evolving rapidly. Players want more sophisticated experiences, but they still need games that respect their time, data limits, and cultural context.

We're working on three new projects for 2025 that push technical boundaries while staying grounded in what actually makes games fun and accessible for our market.
